Hiya! My name is April Dawn Anderson and I live in beautiful Shawnee, Oklahoma with my wonderful husband Chris and my three gorgeous daughters, Bailey, Jensen, and Natalie. We also share our home with two miniature dachunds named 'Sam' and 'Darla', and a parrot named 'Archie' who sings Vegas show tunes. I spend my days running a small primitive country gift shop, doing 'mommy' things, and am also really active in Girl Scouting! If you need Girl Scout Cookies......I'm your woman! *grin*
I've been making bears since 1999 and although I have always enjoyed various crafts and arts, they all took a backseat the moment I discovered bear making. I had purchased a pattern for a simple bear at a local fabric shop. I remember taking it home and opening it up. It looked so complicated! I threw it back into my sewing basket and didn't look at it again for a couple of years. Eventually I pulled the pattern back out and decided to give it a try. Two days later I finished up with something that slightly resembled a baboon. It was hideous! Nevertheless, I was hooked. The next bear looked more like a dog, and the third actually looked like a bruin! Eventually I taught myself how to make patterns and have been going strong ever since. And thank goodness.........I've improved oJü ì˜
